So, it's been a while, but as those who follow the tumblr knows, I did say this would be a bit of a challenge for me.

I did finally manage to get the inventory and saving system up and running, and I'm satisfied with the inner workings of it, but not the interface. I really don't think the controls are good for the inventory, so I'm going to work on those, while working on 3d models and icons in parallel to add more stuff. (and also the chest...)
